poems from my vacation
"Alone"
My wall is up now and forever
Waiting for the day
That someone causes me to change
No secrets will be spilled
No truths revealed
Just me, myself and I
Sitting all alone
My thoughts they are my own
With no one they are shared
I dont trust anyone enough
To just let them in my head
Maybe one day someone will come along
Who breaks down my wall
And who I let in
Someday I will trust again
But for now I sit waiting
Always watching, listening and learning
Learning to love, to enjoy and to just live
Always learning to trust the world again
“You and Me”
As I gaze upon the starlight skies
My thoughts start to drift towards you and I
The waves crashing all around
Send my thoughts into motion
I see us walking hand in hand
Our feet leaving a trail of footprints in the sand
I see us sharing secrets
And past lives
I see us growing old together
And then ultimately I see
All of my thoughts drift back to you and me
Good thoughts, bad thoughts and all those in-between
Every thought just leads back to you and me
My pulse is racing as fast as my thoughts
Your running through my mind and my eyes
I see you from across the room
And all the thoughts rush back
I tried to banish them back to no avail
Everything just seems to lead back to you and me
Your warm embrace is all I remember and more
Your smell fills my head just as before
Your lips brush mine and so I see
Why everything leads back to you and me
I am my happiest when you’re around
And have seen some of my brightest days
Everyone can see it and see how

So thus starts a new chapter of my life
Filled with many firsts and even newer thirsts
Filled with emotions and experiences
Happiness, overjoys, and sometimes sadness too
But all of it is worth it because I have you
Now looking back on it after years have passed
Nothing have I ever regretted
Those times were some of my happiest ones
And in sadness too I learned things I never knew
I thank God every day that he gave me you
But most of all I am thankful that
Simply everything leads back to me and you
“Sadness behind the Eyes”
Your eyes tell me more than you know
They let me look at you
They let me look into your soul
No one knows you as well as your eyes do
But if you give me a chance
I want to know you as well too
Looking into your eyes I see sadness
And I don’t know why
You don’t talk to me or tell me why
You just look at me with those sad eyes
You have no idea how lucky you are
Have no need to be sad
Just look around and see
See everything
The roses in their reds and golds
The stars and the moon when they have shown
The faces of all the people around
But mostly just look into my eyes
My eyes see you for who you really are
An amazingly sweet person
A shining star
Sure you may have gotten a little lost along the way
But those things matter most
They made you who you are today
They made you stronger by knocking you down
They made you question
Every sight and sound
Those experiences shaped you inside and out
And made you into the sad eyed person of today

For this is the start of a new day
A new day of memories
A new day of joy
A day to make the sadness melt away

something new
"The Eyes"
There are a pair of eyes I know
That I miss more then I can show
They do things to me that I never know
And mean more to me than anything
The eyes that hypnotize me
And sing me to sleep
The eyes that shine in the night
When all other light has disappeared
The eyes that can look at me
And see things that no one else can see
That see deep inside and see the true me
Those eyes are the eyes that mean the most to me
The eyes that watch the world go by
And that gaze upon the moonlight skies
The eyes that watch me from across a crowded room
And that shine when they meet mine
The eyes that see the beauty in the world around
That see every little tiny thing
Every scratch and change that takes place in me
Those eyes can see everything
I know a pair of beautiful eyes
That belongs to this amazingly sweet guy
And it just so happens that I am lucky enough to call this amazing guy mine
The way he makes me feel when he looks at me
Is like no other feeling in the world
I feel like no one and nothing could ever bring me down
When we hold hands even for a second
It feels just right like they were made for each other
When he pulls me close I wish that he would never let me go
And when he lets me go I want to just stay and hold on forever
He makes me feel so special inside and out
That I know that I am special without a doubt
Now all that is left is to prove to him
That the way he feels about me is the way I feel about him
No one else has ever made me feel this way
And no one will ever make me feel the exact same way again
This boy with the eyes is amazing and o so sweet
I am lucky to be able to call him mine
I hope that this helps him to see
How unique and truly special he is
Especially to me

"Black and White Beauty"
Tears streak my eyes as you bid me good night
I can only see you in black and white
I look for the stars as the moon slowly comes out
I find the one that we found together that night
That night in my memories it will always remain
We laid on the ground all night long
Our bodies seemed to become one
My head close to your chest I could feel you breathe
But at the same time I felt safe warm in your strong embrace
The night winded down and slowly turned to dawn
A rainbow of colors streaked the morning sky
And we walked hand in hand down the road to anywhere
Never looking back just going forward to somewhere unknown to you or I
Goodbye my love I bid you farwell
Since you never will accept me for who I am
I am different you just cant see
The me that I am inside A black and white beauty
"Dream"
Thunder rolls through the star light skies
Surrounded by dreams my thoughts and I
Racing around all through my head
All aimed at one thing life instead
Awake finally and I try to figure them out
But all I can see is you
Your eyes that capture the midnight blue
Serene and calm like the setting sun
I cant wait for tomorrow to come
As soon as I see you I rush into your arms
Your strong embrace fills me with warmth
The day goes by as normal as can be
After school is what worries me
Back at my house just you and I
I sit on my porch looking into your eyes
Your arms around me holding tight
I wish we could remain like this through the night
But time passes quickly and you must go
Until another days dawn
More thunder comes and shakes the night sky
I am truly awake without you by my side
I guess it was all just a dream
But I was so sure it was true
The next day I see you and you smile at me
Never knowing how I truly feel about you
Maybe someday I will be able to tell you how I feel
I guess my dreams with have to do for now
But soon they wont last and then where will I be
Hopefully in your arms

That look into my eyes and see the beauty in me
When I am scared and lonely
I simply look into your eyes
And they guide me through the darkest of nights
Those eyes that make me laugh and cry
Those eyes that sing sweet lullabies
When I see you and you see me
I cannot help but melt inside
All because of those beautiful eyes
If only I could see life just as you do
Just look through those eyes for a moment or two
Maybe I could see the beauty as you do
And enjoy the little things in life
And treasure more people who are just like you
Those eyes that watch me as I sleep
That keep me safe and warm
I wish that I could see those bright eyes which I mourn

I have been writing poetry since 4th grade. I was published in a book and am very proud of the things that I write. To me writing is a way for me to get my emotions and thoughts out better than I would if I had to say it out loud. What follows is me straight and simply. The thoughts and feelings out of my head and my heart. I want to put my poetry somewhere where people will be able to see it and enjoy it. So people can read it and feel the same way that I did when I wrote it or feel how they want to feel when they read it. I want to share it with people but dont know how to go about doing it yet so this will have to do for now.
